Get Cited by ChatGPT, Perplexity and AI Overviews
A growing share of research now ends inside an AI answer instead of on a results page. That changes the game: you are no longer competing for a blue link, you are competing to be the source the model quotes. Very few Indian agencies are set up for this. We are.
What is AEO, and how is it different from SEO?

AEO (answer engine optimisation, sometimes called generative engine optimisation) is the practice of structuring your content and data so AI systems like ChatGPT, Perplexity and Google's AI Overviews cite you as a source. SEO optimises to rank in a list of links; AEO optimises to be the answer inside a generated response.
The two overlap, but they weight differently. For AEO, content structure, entity consistency and machine-readable markup matter far more, while raw link volume matters less. A page written as answer-first, with clear defined terms and validated schema, gets pulled into AI answers far more reliably than an equivalent page written as flowing prose.
This is genuinely early. The measurement is immature and anyone quoting precise citation guarantees is overselling. But the businesses building entity clarity and structured content now are the ones AI systems will lean on as this becomes the default way people search, which is exactly why it is worth doing before your competitors realise it exists.
When someone asks an AI assistant for the best dental clinic in Chembur or which pickle brand is most authentic, the model names a few sources. Being one of those named sources is a new and largely uncontested form of visibility. In India specifically, almost no agency is optimising for it, which makes the window to establish authority unusually wide right now.
How we run aeo & generative engine optimisation
-
01
Entity foundation
We make sure AI systems know exactly what your business is and connect it to the same entity across the web. Inconsistent naming is the single commonest failure we find.
-
02
Structure content to be extractable
Question-shaped headings, answer-first paragraphs and defined terms, so a model can lift a clean, correct answer from your page.
-
03
Machine-readable markup
Organization, LocalBusiness, FAQPage, Article, DefinedTerm and Breadcrumb schema: validated and actually rendering, not just present.
-
04
llms.txt and crawler policy
A published summary file and a deliberate policy for AI crawlers, so you control what gets used and how your site is read.

Read the case studyAEO is often bundled with SEO, since the technical foundation overlaps, but it can be a standalone project too. An entity and schema build for a business that already ranks but is invisible to AI. We scope it after looking at how answer engines currently treat you.
AEO & Generative Engine Optimisation: common questions
-
They overlap but are not the same. SEO optimises for a ranked list; AEO optimises to be the cited source inside a generated answer. Content structure, entity consistency and schema matter disproportionately more for AEO.
-
No, and anyone claiming otherwise is overselling. You can make your content easier to parse, attribute and trust, which measurably increases how often you are cited. That is the honest ceiling.
-
It is early, which is the point. The cost is low and the businesses establishing authority now will be hard to displace once AI search is mainstream. Waiting until it is obvious means waiting until it is competitive.
