The problem

In 2012 the business had a hand-built HTML site, no content, no backlinks and no way to take an order properly. Growth then exposed a second problem that one site could not solve. International buyers needed a gateway that would accept a wellness category, shipping priced so small orders still cleared margin, and product claims legal in the destination country. Indian buyers needed cash on delivery, address quality good enough to keep returns down, and a checkout built for local payment habits.

What we did

  • Rebuilt the HTML site on WordPress with a working store
  • Long-running content programme, writing the blog that the category searches for
  • Backlink acquisition over years rather than months, raising domain authority
  • Split the business across two storefronts: aromatantra.com for international, aromatantra.in for India
  • Integrated GoKwik checkout and payment gateway on the India store
  • International payment gateway with the correct category classification
  • Restructured shipping and pricing logic to protect margin on small orders
  • Rewrote product content for claim compliance across target markets

The outcome

The compounding came from content and links rather than any single campaign. Order volume moved from roughly thirty a month to over a hundred a day across the fourteen years, and the split into two storefronts is what let each market get the checkout it actually needed.
